I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well. I am writing to you about an exciting opportunity for online private tutoring as well as group lessons. I want to begin by thanking all of you for the opportunity you have given me to teach your amazing children. As many of you know, there is nothing I enjoy more than helping students gain a love for learning topics about which I am passionate!

Our classes at History Made Fun not only improve our students knowledge of the subject, but also serve to improve their academic English, group listening, organization, note taking and other essential skills which help them to become the best possible international school students!

I know these past years have been particularly difficult for all of us, especially for our students. As Dean of Students at a large international school in China I created, implemented and monitored the online learning curriculum during the COVID pandemic. I provided support to students, parents and teachers in order to ensure that the classes were enjoyable and resulted in the highest level of learning possible. I found that online learning, when done properly, could be just as effective (if not more so), than in person learning!

我知道过去的几年对我们所有人来说都很艰难，尤其是我们的学生们。在中国这所大型学校里，作为学生主任（相当于校长）在新冠肺炎病毒肆虐时期，我创建、落实并管理着在线学习课程。我尽力协助学生、家长和老师们，以确保能兼顾课程的趣味性及学习知识的效率。我发现在线学习，如果能够学习的当，可以与线下面对面学习有相同的效果（如果不更强调后者的话）。

In this I saw a great opportunity. I have been working in the international school community for many years, and although I have had some wonderful experiences, it seems that often, in many international schools, politics, money and bureaucracy get in the way of what should be the real goal...learning! I have seen that the recent spread of online learning has now provided the chance to teach students free from the constraints of these corporate structures.

同时在这项工作的推进中，我也看到了更广阔的可能。我在各种国际学校中工作多年，尽管我的经验很丰富，但通常，在许多国际学校里，管理体制、资金、沟通等各方面的问题会阻碍我们达到真正的目标——学习！在近期线上教学增长中，我也看到确实存在着一种可能性，能让教学脱离这些体制和机构架构中的所有阻碍。

Thus, I began teaching and providing online learning for many of my former students using Zhumu (Zoom for China). With the success of the initial lessons, I have since expanded and now offer more classes and options. Teaching online gives me the ability to work with students regardless of location. I am also able to cater the lessons to each student's specific needs.

At History Made Fun we offer weekly history and geography group lessons which are at a set time each week. Different topics are offered throughout the year. These lessons are based on a curriculum which I have created over the past 10 years. It combines the UK Cambridge Curriculum with USA Common Core and is targeted at middle and high school international school students. Our classes are fun, engaging and help to instill a lifelong love of learning. Students will begin approaching these subjects through intrinsic motivation, which research consistently shows is the optimal way to learn. If the students are having fun and enjoying the lessons, they will retain more information and be more eager to continue learning in the future!

“开心的历史”课程，我们提供在每周固定的时间历史和地理的小组学习。全年提供不同的课题。这些课题基于我在过去十年的教学中创建的课程。它结合了英国剑桥课程和美国教育大纲，面向初高中国际学生。我们的课程充满乐趣、参与性，有助于培养学生终身学习的热情。学生们将被激发自主学习的积极性，他们会牢记这些信息并渴望在将来继续学习。

We also offer private and small group lessons which are catered to fit the specific needs of our students. For small groups, students who wish to learn similar content may even form their own class (I can assist with this) and I will create a schedule and curriculum that best suits the group. These lessons can be customized based on the requests of the students and their families. For private and small groups, students may choose to receive support for the subject(s) they are studying at school and\or have me teach topics supplemental to what they are currently learning (or a mix of the two).

我们也提供私人或者小组课程以满足我们学生的特定需求。对于学习小组，希望学习类似内容的学生甚至可以组成自己的课堂（我可以为此提供帮助），并且我将制定最适合该小组的时间表和课程表。这些课程可以根据学生及其家人的要求进行定制。 对于私人和小组学习，学生可以选择在课程中强化他们在学校学到的知识，也可以选择学习不一样的课程内容作为补充，或者，两者兼顾。
